Get alerts on failed ingestion
View and get alerts on failed ingestion (via events)
SWE has an advanced monitoring mechanism that systematically generates detailed system events specifically designed to capture and log incidents of failed data ingestion. This feature ensures that any disruptions in the data flow are promptly identified, allowing for quick intervention and resolution. The creation of these events is automatic and is an essential component of the platform’s robust data governance and operational oversight capabilities.
Viewing “Failed data ingestion” events
To monitor failed data ingestion events, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Explore page: Access the Explore section of the platform, where you can construct and run different types of data queries.
- Choose a data source: To track failed data deliveries, select the Events data source.
- Set up a query: You'll need to create a raw data query with the following specifics:
- Time range: Determine the interval you are interested in examining.
- Event type: Select Failed data delivery as the event type to filter for the relevant alerts.
- Run the query: After specifying the time range and event type, execute the query by clicking the Run button. This action retrieves a list of events that match your criteria.
- Review the results: The results of your query will be displayed on the same page, typically in a tabular format. This table allows you to review the instances where data delivery was unsuccessful.
